Privacy Policy
Effective September 8, 2026. This policy explains how Masorix LLC, a company registered in the Republic of Armenia under registration number 999.110.1593071, is the operator of KeepSift and the controller responsible for this policy (“we,” “us,” “our”). It explains how we handle information when you use KeepSift or this website.
1. Controller and scope
This policy covers the KeepSift website, support communications, the Android application distributed through Google Play, and the iOS application being prepared for distribution. The platform-specific paragraphs below explain material differences.
We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. The app has no user account and we do not operate a cloud library for your screenshots.
Our registered address is 25 Marshal Baghramyan Street, Apt. 4, Aparan 0301, Aragatsotn Province, Republic of Armenia. You can contact us at[email protected] or+374 77 225 600.
2. KeepSift for Android and iOS
Local screenshot processing
With the permissions you grant, the app discovers screenshots in your device photo library. Screenshot discovery, optical character recognition, search, categories, collections, and indexing run on your device. The app stores extracted text, metadata, organization choices, lifecycle state, and indexing state in a local database. It does not create a separate cloud library or upload that information to us.
On Android, you may start a screen-capture session on supported devices. Android asks you to approve each session. The app temporarily processes the captured frame so you can review it; protected or restricted content may be rejected. A captured image is saved to your media library only after you confirm. This capture mode is not offered on iOS.
Text recognition runs on the device. On Android, KeepSift uses bundled Google ML Kit components for Latin, Chinese, Devanagari, Japanese, and Korean text. On the iOS build being prepared, the available ML Kit profile is Latin. Both platform builds use bundled Tesseract components and language models for Armenian, Russian, and Bulgarian text. The selected OCR profile determines which component processes a screenshot. Google’s ML Kit terms note that its APIs may send usage metrics; the Android build cannot send those metrics because it has no internet permission. Tesseract recognition and model loading are also local. Before public iOS release, we will verify the final archive and App Store privacy disclosure.
Network access and app telemetry
The Android app declares no INTERNET permission, which prevents it from opening its own network connection. The Android 1.1.0 build has no in-app crash reporting, error reporting, analytics, usage statistics, advertising, or telemetry setting. We therefore do not receive screenshots, extracted text, search terms, categories, media paths, or clipboard contents from that build. The current iOS candidate is configured without KeepSift telemetry, but iOS does not have an equivalent permission that disables all network access. We will audit the final iOS archive and App Store privacy disclosure before public distribution.
Settings and background work
Settings are stored locally. Scanning when the app opens is enabled by default and can be changed in Settings. On Android, background indexing is available but disabled by default; its worker exits when it is disabled. Background indexing is not currently offered on iOS.
Backup, transfer, sharing, and the clipboard
The Android app excludes its app data, including its local OCR and search index, from Android cloud-backup and device-transfer rules. Android versions and device manufacturers may apply their own platform behavior, so we do not promise that an operating system can never copy app data. Original screenshots are part of your device photo library and may be backed up or transferred according to your gallery, cloud-photo, and device settings independently of the app. Your iOS backup and transfer settings are controlled by Apple and your device settings; we do not promise that they will exclude local app data.
If you choose Share, Copy, Open link, or Email, your operating system sends the selected information to the destination you choose. Information copied to the system clipboard may be available to the operating system, your keyboard, or other apps under platform rules. These user-initiated platform actions are separate from the app uploading information to us.
Deletion
Removing an item from KeepSift can remove its local index records without deleting the original. Where a platform version offers original screenshot deletion, it is disabled by default and requires a deliberate user action and platform confirmation when applicable. Local index data remains on the device until you remove it, reset the local index, clear app data, or uninstall the app, subject to the platform behavior described above. Original screenshots remain in your media library unless you explicitly delete them. We do not receive a copy of the local library and therefore cannot retrieve, restore, or delete it for you.
App stores, billing, and platform diagnostics
Google Play and the App Store process Pro purchases for their respective platforms, manage payment credentials and entitlements, and may provide us with purchase-status information. Google and Apple may also provide aggregated or pseudonymous diagnostics and app analytics when users enable the relevant platform sharing setting. That collection is performed by the platform provider, not by our in-app telemetry. The providers retain purchase and diagnostic information under their own policies and applicable law.
3. The KeepSift website
This website has no accounts, forms, advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. Cloudflare delivers and protects keepsift.com and processes ordinary network and request information such as IP address, requested URL, browser or device information, timestamps, and security signals. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie.
Cloudflare retains or aggregates website request and security information under our configured service and its applicable terms. We do not operate a separate website analytics database.
4. Feedback and support
If you send feedback from KeepSift, the app opens your email application with a draft addressed to our support address. The draft contains your message and a short technical note about which part of the app you were in. You see the whole email, can edit or delete any part of it, and choose whether to send it. KeepSift does not itself send or retain the draft.
When you email us, Google Workspace processes your address, message, and anything you attach for our support mailbox. We use that information to answer you and operate support. Do not include screenshot contents or other sensitive material you would not want us to read.
5. Purposes and legal bases
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process support and purchase-related information as needed to respond to requests, provide or restore the service, and handle consumer remedies. We use website request and security information to deliver and protect the website. We may retain limited records to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Depending on the activity, these purposes rely on performance of a contract or steps requested before a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting, and defending KeepSift. We do not rely on consent where another stated basis applies.
6. Disclosures and international transfers
Google, Cloudflare, and Google Workspace may process the information described above in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use the transfer mechanism available under the relevant provider agreement and applicable law. Contact us if you would like information about safeguards relevant to your information.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction, subject to applicable safeguards.
7. Retention
Email you send us is ordinarily deleted within 24 months after the matter is closed. Provider-controlled retention is described in the relevant app, website, and support sections above. We may retain information available to us for longer when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, a legal obligation, or a legal claim.
8. Your choices and rights
In the app, you can deny or limit photo access, disable scan-on-open, reset the local index, or uninstall the app. On Android, you can also keep background indexing disabled. Restricting photo access may prevent screenshot discovery. Whether Apple or Google receives device diagnostics is controlled by your platform’s sharing settings, not by KeepSift.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability for personal data we control, and to complain to your data protection supervisory authority. Information available to us may include support correspondence, app-store transaction or entitlement information, platform-provided diagnostics, and website request or security information. To make a request, contact us with the subject “Privacy request” and enough information to locate the relevant records. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
9. Age eligibility
KeepSift is intended only for users aged 18 or older. If we learn that we received personal information from a child contrary to applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may contact us about a child’s information.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Device security, gallery access, backups, transfers, clipboard access, and sharing destinations also depend on the operating system, your device provider, your settings, and the services you choose.
To report a security vulnerability, see our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the product, providers, or law changes. We will post the revised policy here with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required. We will update the relevant platform disclosure before materially changing app behavior under this policy.
